Responsible Use Policy

1. Purpose

RH7 builds tools that automate work, apply AI, and turn public information into usable intelligence. Those capabilities can be misused if left unchecked. This policy sets out the principles RH7 follows on every engagement, and the limits we won't cross regardless of what a client requests.

2. Lawful basis first

Every engagement involving data collection or automation is scoped against applicable law before work begins — including data protection law relevant to the data involved and the jurisdictions in play. If a requested scope would require unlawful activity, we decline or narrow it, not the client's discretion to decide alone.

3. Public web data: what we do and don't do

Where an engagement involves collecting information from the public web, RH7 follows these limits:

• No bypassing access controls. We do not circumvent authentication, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, IP blocks, or other technical measures a site uses to restrict access.
• Public data only. We collect information that is openly published and accessible without logging in or exploiting a vulnerability — not private, restricted, or leaked data.
• Respect for site terms, where they apply. Collection scope accounts for a target site's published terms of service and robots.txt directives as part of the lawful-basis assessment for that engagement.
• Rate-conscious collection. Automated collection is throttled to avoid degrading the performance of third-party sites or services.
• Data minimization. We collect what an engagement's documented scope requires — not everything a target might expose.
• No unlawful use of personal data. We do not collect or process sensitive personal data, or use public data to build profiles for unlawful purposes such as harassment, discrimination, or unauthorized surveillance of individuals.

4. AI use

• Human review on consequential decisions. Where AI-assisted output feeds into a decision that materially affects a person or a client's business, a human reviews it before it's acted on.
• No presenting model output as guaranteed fact. AI-generated analysis, summaries, or predictions are delivered as inputs to a decision, not as verified certainty.
• Client data isn't used to train unrelated third-party models without the client's explicit agreement.

5. Automation limits

Automation we build is scoped to the systems and processes a client authorizes in writing. We do not build automation designed to circumvent a third party's technical or contractual restrictions, or to misrepresent automated activity as human activity in a way intended to deceive.

6. Scoping and client responsibility

Before any engagement involving data collection or automation begins, RH7 documents the scope in writing: what's being collected or automated, from where, and for what purpose. Clients are expected to have a lawful basis for requesting that scope. RH7 reserves the right to decline, pause, or terminate an engagement that we determine would require unlawful or unethical use of our tools or services.

7. Reporting a concern

If you believe RH7's tools or services have been used in a way that's inconsistent with this policy, contact main@rh7.tech with as much detail as you can provide. We take reports seriously and will investigate.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, and applicable law, evolve. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
